Dr. Hamer-Small’s journey has taken her to more than 30 countries, where she’s explored cultures, built relationships, and expanded her leadership lens. As the Member Relations Manager at the Tampa Downtown Partnership, Shameka leads initiatives that engage, empower, and expand the Partnership’s reach. Her ability to build authentic connections and execute high-level events has earned her a reputation as a true change-maker—someone who transforms ideas into thriving communities.
Shameka’s heart for people and faith-driven leadership extends beyond her professional role. Alongside her husband, she co-leads Love on Fire, a ministry group dedicated to nurturing families through connection, Bible study, and shared life. She is also the author of Queen Behavior, a devotional that calls women to embrace their true identity as Daughters of God and walk confidently in their calling.
When she’s not orchestrating transformative initiatives, Shameka cherishes date nights and thrill-seeking adventures, explores the arts, and loves discovering new hiking trails with her son and their German Shepherd puppy.
